Tasty European cuisine in a refined environment…
Café im Literaturhaus, in Berlin’s upscale Charlottenberg district, is an excellent spot for a relaxed weekend lunch. Nestled just off the hectic Kurfürstendamm, the spot is attached to the Literaturhaus, a space for literary events and exhibitions of German and international literature, it’s also right next to an A.P.C store.
A really refreshing elderflower and mint lemonade…
For mains, I opted for pumpkin gnocchi with a parmesan creme, spinach and cranberry. It was filling and delicious.
The roasted eggplant with beetroot hummus and lots of veggies with a great vegan option. All veg but certainly substantial.
This cheese (can’t remember which, sorry!) filled filo pasty roll with celeriac slaw was rich, hot, and very tasty.
Dessert was a yummy brownie with peanut ice cream.
This place is a real hidden gem amongst the rather desolate restaurant scene of the area. The food is super substantial so be careful not to over order.
