Catching up with a good friend over a burger is always a fun activity, especially an Asian influenced one. Shiso Burger in Berlin’s trendy Mitte district offers just that, a comfortable setting with scrummy food. My friend Vicky (Also a style blogger! Check her out at storiesandsmiles.com and vicko_m on Insta!) and I ordered cheeseburgers, sweet potato fries, regular fries, and of course a healthy glass (or three) of Riesling.
Delicious burgers at Shiso Burger, Berlin
The burgers are inventive; a doughy rice bun, filled with a rare and juicy beef patty, gooey cheddar cheese along with some classic garnishes including the all-important gherkin slice. Though a touch on the slimy side (and also on the small side) they were still gobbled down in no time. The fries were perfect; the potato variety with a cajun-esque seasoning, and the sweet potatoes served as is, both with a little mayonnaise and ketchup. We picked at them to our little heart’s content, whilst talking shit about everything and everyone.
